All classes are co-ed and previous dance experience is not necessary. We are open to students of all levels and abilities.

Little Lambs (3 - 4 year olds)

Fridays 4:30 - 5:30 pm

This class is a joyful introduction to dance technique, choreography, and creative movement. We use Biblical stories and songs to help these dancers know God and give Him honor and praise. These are the first steps to developing a heart of worship.

Hosanna (K - 2nd grade)

Praise (3rd and 4th grades)

Wednesdays 4:30 - 5:30 pm or Fridays 4:30 - 5:30 pm

These classes include choreography, devotional time, and interpretive movement. We begin training hearts for ministry to the elderly living in assisted living communities and nursing homes. Dancers are given outreach opportunities to minister the love and hope of Jesus through the message of the dances they perform and through the interaction and prayers they offer their audience after their performances.

Hosanna and Praise Technique (K - 4th grade)

Wednesdays 5:30 - 6:00 pm or Fridays 5:30 - 6:00 pm

This ½ hour class focuses on the joy of moving in and through space and introduces dancers to the discipline of dance technique. Students will work on developing the basic skills required in all forms of dance including balance, coordination, precision, strength, and flexibility. Beginning with the foundation of ballet and incorporating other styles of dance - modern, folk, jazz, and hip hop, dancers will physically and mentally develop a vocabulary of dance movements that will make them strong, prevent injuries, and develop artistry.

Live Out Loud (5th and 6th grades)

Wednesdays 4:30 - 6:00 pm or Fridays 5:00 - 6:30 pm

Instruction in dance technique taken from ballet and modern dance continues, as well as training in interpretive movement and dramatic expression. Dancers learn more challenging choreography, participate in deeper devotional studies, and are encouraged to dance from a deeper sense of communion with the Holy Spirit. Along with visits to assisted living communities, outreach opportunities include venues such as the National Christmas Tree and Zoolights.

City/Core (7th - 12th grade) Wednesdays 6:00 - 8:00 pm

City on a Hill (7th and 8th grades) Fridays 6:30 - 10:00 pm

Core Team (9th - 12th grade) Fridays 6:30 - 10:00 pm

Growing in faith, community, artistry, and ministry is the central purpose of these teams. Our weekly meetings include continued training in dance technique to develope excellence in the dance forms of modern and ballet technique and encourage perseverance and discipline. Each class consists of both traditional technical exercises and training in dance composition, as well as exploration of the elements of dance expression - breath, suspension and release, extension, coordination, balance, anatomical precision, etc. Every year the dancers focus their hearts and creative talents on a God given dance project that advocates for the needs of the most vulnerable in our society. Each week they receive Biblical teaching centered on the outreach project that the Lord has given them for that school year and experience peer to peer ministry in small group discussions and prayer. These projects raise awareness and funds for other ministries on the front line of service to children and youth who are abused, impoverished, neglected, or endangered in this world.

The dancers also minister on city sidewalks, parks, playgrounds, market places - anywhere people gather. This is called the Stage Without Walls ministry. At the conclusion of the year, dancers are given the opportunity to present their dance compositions at their Student Concert. Dancers prepare their hearts as well as their bodies to be living sacrifices - bringing the way, truth, and life of the Kingdom of God to the public.
